Shouchuang Futures: The crude oil market focuses on the prospects of the second round of US-Iran negotiations

As of April 21, 2026, the situation between the U.S. and Iran is in the final critical window before the temporary ceasefire expires, and the second round of negotiations has not yet been confirmed. Vice President Vance has arrived in Islamabad with his delegation, preparing for negotiations. Trump stated: If an agreement is not reached, it is almost impossible to extend the ceasefire, and full sanctions and strikes will be resumed, with the blockade of the strait continuing until an agreement is reached. Long-term oil prices are showing a loose pattern, while short-term oil prices will continue to be determined by U.S.-Iran negotiations, with significant uncertainty, and it is recommended to adopt a wait-and-see approach.
