Techub News reports that, according to TechCrunch, SpaceX has proposed to acquire AI programming software company Cursor for $60 billion, which is higher than the $2 billion funding round (valued at $50 billion) that was originally scheduled to be completed this week.

The company has recently merged with xAI to seek enhanced AI capabilities to challenge Anthropic and OpenAI. If the acquisition is completed, it will gain Cursor's AI programming technology; if the deal fails, it will still pay $10 billion to collaborate with the company. The acquisition plan may be delayed until after the IPO later this summer.
