I noticed that Polygon has just launched a really interesting tool for developers - the Polygon Agent CLI. It's a toolkit specifically designed to enable AI agents to operate directly on the blockchain.
Basically, it changes quite a bit. AI agents can now create their own wallets, manage stablecoins, perform cross-chain transfers, execute swaps... all autonomously. And importantly, Polygon has integrated the ERC-8004 standard for on-chain identity registration. This gives real structure to transactions.
What interests me about this approach is that all operations are conducted directly on the Polygon network. No detours, no complications. Developers can build agents truly capable of managing funds and executing transactions smoothly.
It's the kind of tool that shows where the ecosystem is heading - towards more automation and autonomous agents. Polygon was already well-positioned on scalability, and now they’re adding an on-chain AI infrastructure layer. It’s worth watching if other networks will follow suit.
