A senior Iranian general confirms a visit to Baghdad, stressing that Iraqi affairs are not subject to U.S.-Iranian interference.

On the 20th local time, Ismail Kani, commander of the Quds Force under the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran, issued a statement confirming his visit to Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, on the 18th. Kani pointed out in the statement that forming a new government is Iraq’s sovereign right. Iraq is vast and cannot be interfered with by other countries, especially by “crimes against humanity” criminals such as the US and Israel. The election of Iraq’s prime minister is entirely decided by the Iraqi people. (CCTV News)
