Vitalik Comments on Polymarket Hairdryer Cheating Incident: At Least Three Independent Sources Should Be Used
On April 23, Vitalik commented on the hairdryer cheating incident on Polymarket, stating, “For such events, it should basically be mandatory to use the median from at least three (or even more) independent sources.” Previously, it was reported that a user manipulated the data from a Paris weather collection terminal using a hairdryer, resulting in a profit of $34,000 from the event outcome.
