It seems that this week there was a clearing of gamma positions in Bitcoin. But the trouble is that liquidity still hasn’t appeared in the market. This is quite a strange situation: even after traders closed their positions, trading volumes remain thin.

The problem is that the options market is currently operating under conditions of a chronic liquidity shortage. Gamma exposure has dissipated, but that hasn’t solved the core issue—the lack of participants and volume. As a result, traders’ strategies are becoming more conservative, and the market’s overall momentum slows down.

Overall, the situation shows that the crypto market needs not just a clearing of positions, but a real influx of new participants. Otherwise, even after resolving acute gamma-related situations, we will continue to see the same trading stagnation.
