ME News report, April 7 (UTC+8). On April 6, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that Iranian Foreign Minister Alireza Araghchi held a phone call with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed, during which they discussed the latest regional situation, the consequences of U.S.-Israeli aggression against Iran, and bilateral relations between Iran and Qatar. Araghchi said that the current situation is entirely caused by military actions launched by the U.S. and Israel against Iran. Araghchi said that, under international law, countries have an obligation to prevent other states from using their territory to carry out military operations against other nations, and he hopes that regional countries can move forward in a consistent manner to promote peace and security. According to a statement issued by the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed urged all parties to respect international law, emphasizing that a comprehensive and enduring diplomatic solution is the only option to resolve the crisis.
