The U.S. military admits to running a Bitcoin node
On April 23rd, U.S. Indo-Pacific Commander Admiral Samuel Paparo testified before the U.S. House Armed Services Committee that the U.S. military is operating a Bitcoin node, but not for mining, rather to monitor the network and conduct a series of operational tests to ensure the security of networks using the Bitcoin protocol.
