Recently, I've come across a bunch of PFPs, membership cards, and brand collaborations, claiming to have "long-term value," but I always subconsciously view them as collateral: where is their liquidity, are the consensus and stability solid, will their relevance collapse all at once... Frankly, if there's no exit channel, I don't dare to assign them a high valuation.
Social mining, fan tokens, that "attention equals mining" concept sounds pretty appealing, but attention itself has a much sharper interest rate spike—what's hot today might be zero tomorrow, and I've experienced several times when my mood cooled, and the floor just collapsed.
So, is the membership really worth it?
It depends on whether you're buying rights or just the hype.
I'm now more willing to pay for confirmed rights (like offline events, tools, services), and treat pure avatars as collectibles—don't see them as assets that can withstand liquidation... seeking stability while staying active, for now, that's how it is.
