Israeli Finance Minister Says He Wants to "Occupy Gaza"
Local time on April 19, Israeli Finance Minister and far-right political figure Smotrich spoke at a reopening ceremony for a Jewish settlement in the West Bank, calling the reopening of the settlement a “historic correction” of Israel’s 2005 withdrawal action. He urged Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to occupy the Palestinian Gaza Strip, “establish a military government to achieve full Israeli control,” and build settlements throughout the Gaza Strip.
