Import cotton main port stocks decreased by 1.12% week-over-week

According to a Mysteel survey, as of April 2, import cotton inventories at main ports decreased by 1.12% week-on-week, with total inventories of 5.755 million tons. Of this, Qingdao and Jinan ports in Shandong, and surrounding warehouses, account for 4.94 million tons, up 11.76% year-on-year. In Jiangsu, the import cotton inventory at Zhangjiagang port and surrounding warehouses is about 0.485 million tons, while other ports have inventories of about 0.33 million tons. This week, arrivals of foreign cotton declined, and market sales still mainly focus on Brazilian cotton. (My Steel Network)
