Silence for 5 months before acting again! Balancer hacker begins "money laundering," still holding over $50 million in ETH
On-chain monitoring shows that the Balancer attacker, who has been silent for about 5 months, is active again:
Has transferred about 100 ETH (approximately $233k) to a new address and has started dispersing funds through Tornado Cash.
More concerning is that this address still holds about 21,900 ETH, worth approximately $51.13 million, with potential selling pressure still present.
From a behavioral perspective, such actions usually indicate that asset management has entered a new phase—using mixing tools to increase tracking difficulty while preparing for subsequent liquidation.
For the market, this is not only a continuation of security incidents but also a potential source of liquidity risk. Once large assets gradually enter the market, they could cause a phased impact on prices.
In the crypto world, risks never disappear suddenly; they just manifest in different ways.
You can ignore the noise, but you cannot ignore structural risks. Truly mature investors always remain cautious of "uncertainty."
