🔥Vans says US-Iran talks broke down because Tehran refused to abandon nuclear weapons, Iran accuses the US of bad faith

According to The Wall Street Journal, U.S. Vice President Vans stated after marathon peace negotiations between the U.S. and Iran that the two sides failed to reach an agreement because Tehran refused to give up its pursuit of nuclear weapons. Vans called for Iran to make a clear commitment not to seek nuclear weapons. Iran's chief negotiator said Washington failed to earn their trust. Additionally, the U.S. announced that two Navy destroyers passed through the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday, the first U.S. warships to do so since the start of the conflict. The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy denied that these ships passed through the strait and stated that any attempt to do so would be met with a firm and strong response.
