Zhuochuang Information: In March, imports of natural rubber rose month-on-month and also increased year-on-year, and the cumulative imports for the first three months reached the second-highest level in the same period in history.
Customs statistics from the General Administration of Customs show that in March 2026, natural rubber imports totaled 616.2k tons, up 33.5% month-on-month and up 4% year-on-year. Judging from seasonal import trends, in March natural rubber that arrived in a concentrated manner at ports after the holiday drove a clear month-on-month increase in the overall import volume. From January to March, cumulative imports reached 17.227 million tons, up 3.69 million tons year-on-year, an increase of 2.19%, and the second-highest level in history for the same period. In terms of trade flows, due to generally moderate international market demand, together with domestic downstream pre-holiday stocking and arbitrage positions being added, overseas supplies still mainly flow into the China market. The concentration of ships arriving after the holiday supported the increase in March imports. It is expected that in April, the import volume of natural rubber may decline somewhat. Going forward, particular attention should be paid to rainfall conditions in major rubber-producing countries and the timing of new rubber supply. (Zhuochuang Information)
