According to CNN, the U.S. has frozen about $344 million in crypto assets, claiming the funds are linked to Iran, and has implemented freezes on two addresses with the assistance of Tether; the U.S. officials stated that these funds are associated with on-chain transactions involving Iranian entities, including interactions with Iranian exchanges and wallets connected to the Central Bank of Iran, marking one of the steps to further increase economic pressure on Iran.
