On April 25th, X platform's independent messaging app XChat officially launched on the App Store, allowing iOS users to download and use it, with the Android version coming soon. XChat supports direct login with X accounts, no need for phone numbers or email addresses, using end-to-end encryption to ensure messages are only visible to both parties, and the platform cannot read them; it also offers self-destructing messages and arbitrary file transfer features. Additionally, XChat is deeply integrated with xAI's Grok intelligent assistant, allowing users to directly ask Grok questions, generate images, or summarize content within the chat interface without switching apps.
