On April 3rd, local time, the Israel Defense Forces stated that disarming Hezbollah in Lebanon remains their “long-term goal.”
The Israel Defense Forces said in a statement that they are committed to the long-term goal of disarming Hezbollah.
Achieving this goal requires a series of long-term and extensive actions, which will be continuously pursued.
The statement also said that current military operations have dealt a significant blow to Hezbollah, weakening its strength and helping to ultimately achieve this goal.
An IDF officer earlier that day told the media that disarming Hezbollah in Lebanon is not one of the current objectives of the IDF.
The reason is that achieving this goal requires full control of Lebanon and systematic dismantling of relevant infrastructure in various villages, so this goal has not been included in the current operations.
There has been no response from Hezbollah in Lebanon. (CCTV News)
