According to reports from U.S. media, President Trump expressed disappointment with U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick and Secretary of Labor Lori Chaves-Dremer, and is considering further reshuffles of the cabinet. A Trump administration official told The Politico, “He (Trump) is very angry and plans to make personnel changes.” The report said that the fates of Howard Lutnick and Lori Chaves-Dremer have not yet been finalized. The report did not disclose the specific reasons for Trump’s dissatisfaction with the two ministers, but analysis suggested that if Trump conducts a broader cabinet reshuffle, it indicates that “he is facing a severe political situation and is trying to make major adjustments to the government.”

In a separate report by the U.S. magazine The Atlantic, sources said the White House is “actively discussing” the dismissal of several top officials, including FBI Director Kash Patel, Army Secretary Daniel Dreescol, and Chaves-Dremer, among others, but Trump has not yet made a final decision.

On the 2nd, Trump announced that Pam Bondi will no longer serve as Attorney General. Bondi became the second cabinet member to be dismissed during Trump’s second presidential term. ( Xinhua News Agency )
