KelpDAO's $292 million cross-chain bridge was hacked, and the real issue isn't usually recovering the assets afterward, but rather how responsibility is assigned and who compensates whom. No matter how well-designed the DAO is, when something goes wrong, it ultimately comes down to whether the governance structure and liability clauses can hold up. For the market, the most immediate impact of such incidents is to push funds toward more conservative directions, and cross-chain and high-risk protocols will be re-evaluated.
