AI Content Summarization Tool Summarize Releases Version 0.14.0 with New GPT-5.5 Fast Mode

According to monitoring by Dongcha Beating, the open-source AI content summarization tool Summarize has officially released version 0.14.0. This update introduces the GPT-5.5 Fast mode (quickly invoked via the --fast parameter), browser extension support for extracting complete Reddit threads, direct extraction functionality for local PDF files using --extract, as well as automatic model configuration and compatibility fixes for Meta (Facebook/Instagram) websites. Summarize is a lightweight open-source tool that supports command-line CLI and Chrome sidebar extensions, allowing users to extract concise summaries from web pages, YouTube, PDFs, podcasts, and more with a single click. It is compatible with OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, and local models.
