ETF Tokenization Accelerates Evolution! Traditional Finance Is Moving Toward the "On-Chain Era"
Ciarán Fitzpatrick, Global Head of ETF Products at JPMorgan Securities Services, stated that tokenization is driving changes in the entire financial market structure. This impact is not limited to ETFs but will extend to the entire fund industry.
He pointed out that ETF tokenization has multiple potential advantages, including: more efficient subscription and redemption processes, near real-time settlement capabilities, and greater market accessibility, enabling a trading experience closer to "24/7 operation."
However, he also emphasized that ETF tokenization is still in the early experimental stage, and it will take several years before truly mature and widely applicable practical cases are formed.
In his view, tokenization is likely to eventually become part of the ETF ecosystem, but its implementation will be a gradual process rather than a rapid transformation in the short term.
In the process of financial evolution, what truly matters is not speed but direction.
Every technological revolution first changes the infrastructure, and only later changes market perception.
People who understand the trend are often not those waiting for the results to appear, but those who understand the change in advance.
