U.S. Attorney General: The shooting suspect may have targeted Trump

BlockBeats News, April 26 — U.S. Acting Deputy Attorney General Blanc announced that a search warrant has been executed on a suspect believed to have opened fire at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. It is believed that the suspect traveled from Los Angeles to Chicago by train, then to Washington, D.C., and that the suspect has purchased two firearms in the past few years.

Blanc also stated that he believes the suspect targeted government officials, possibly aiming at President Trump. It is believed that the suspect was staying in a hotel at the time and will face charges in federal court on Monday morning. The suspect will face multiple charges, including assaulting federal law enforcement officers, firing a weapon, and attempting to kill federal law enforcement personnel. It is currently unclear whether the shooting is related to Iran.
