Iran's Foreign Minister Calls for a Collective Security Mechanism Free from U.S. Interference
On April 26, according to the Iranian Fars News Agency, Iranian Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian called for regional countries to establish a collective security mechanism that is “free from U.S. interference.” The report stated that during a meeting with Oman’s Sultan Haitham in the capital Muscat, Amir-Abdollahian expressed that Iran’s experience indicates that the U.S. military presence in regional countries only leads to turmoil and division in the area. He urged regional countries to collaboratively build an autonomous collective security mechanism without U.S. interference. (Xinhua News Agency)
