The suspect in the security incident at the White House Correspondents' Dinner will be charged on the 27th

U.S. Acting Deputy Attorney General Todd Branch announced that search warrants have been executed on suspects involved in the security incident at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, and he believes the suspect traveled from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C. by train via Chicago. Branch stated that the suspect will be charged in federal court on the morning of the 27th. Branch said that the gunman at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner “intended to attack government personnel, likely including the President himself.” Branch added that investigators have been able to gather some information from the suspect’s electronic devices and have interviewed some people who know him, beginning to understand his motives for the attack.
