The suspect in the security incident at the White House Correspondents' Dinner will be charged on the 27th
Odaily Planet Daily News reports that on April 26th, local time, U.S. Acting Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche stated that search warrants have been executed on suspects involved in the security incident at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, and that the suspect arrived in Washington, D.C. by train from Los Angeles via Chicago. Blanche said that the suspect will be charged in federal court on the morning of the 27th. Blanche stated that the gunman at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner “intended to attack government personnel, likely including the President himself.” Blanche said that investigators have been able to gather some information from the suspect’s electronic devices and have interviewed some people who know him, beginning to understand his motive for the attack.
