This morning, when I checked on-chain again, I saw a bunch of “complete tasks to earn points/badges.” To be blunt, it’s just cutting your time into fragments to exchange for an uncertain identity marker. I really don’t want to empty out an entire day chasing that little bit of ranking—only to have the airdrop not come, and end up handing over my attention and all my permissions… Anyway, I care more right now about whether “cold start” has real usage and retention, not just how hot things look in the community. Recently, someone has also been forcing hard links between ETF fund flows, U.S. stock risk appetite, and the crypto market’s rise and fall in their interpretation; after reading too much of that, it just feels noisy to me. Once emotions kick in, it’s even easier to go brush tasks for comfort. That’s it for now: tonight, I’ll revoke permissions for a few rarely used DApps, and also keep track of how much time I spend every day earning points.
