Mint Blockchain, Non-Fungible Token (NFT) is a Layer 2 network built on the Ethereum blockchain aiming to enhance the ecosystem and user experience. It utilizes the OP Stack solution, a framework developed by Optimism Collective, and is specifically designed to provide a robust infrastructure for NFT development and trading. Being compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) enables developers to expand their projects from the Ethereum ecosystem to Mint Blockchain and benefit from lower gas fees for on-chain interactions.
Blockchain focuses on creating a more efficient environment for NFT transactions such as the creation, circulation, and trading of NFTs. According to the roadmap, Mint Blockchain will launch the NFT Development Proposal (NIP) asset protocol standard library in the 3rd quarter of 2024. This initiative aims to encourage innovation by allowing developers to propose new NFT standards and protocols. Applications can range from real-world assets to blockchain games, social accounts, and even sports events.
Behind the launch of Mint Blockchain are NFTScan Labs and MintCore. NFTScan Labs is the developer team behind NFTScan, a professional NFT explorer and open data platform. Additionally, they are the core launch team for Mint Blockchain and will focus on developing infrastructure such as block explorers, NFT browsers, developer documentation systems, and developer SDK tools. Meanwhile, MintCore is organized by Mint Foundation and acts as the core development team responsible for core technology selection and network development.
