Friends, reflecting on the impact of decentralized market-making protocols, such as Elixir (ELX), on centralized exchanges, several key aspects can be noted. Firstly, decentralized protocols, using automated market makers (AMM), provide instant liquidity without the involvement of intermediaries, simplifying the trading process and making it more accessible to users.
This may prompt centralized exchanges to rethink their liquidity models to remain competitive.
However, despite the advantages of decentralized solutions, centralized exchanges still offer higher performance and additional services, such as investing and marketing. The question is whether decentralized protocols will be able to overcome current limitations and provide similar or better services to become a catalyst for a more fair and accessible financial future.
