Depth analysis of the current Bitcoin bull market: How much do you know about historical patterns and future trends?
Bitcoin's bull run is always full of drama, with dramatic fluctuations and amazing gains. From historical data, Bitcoin's bull run is usually divided into three major waves: the first wave is led by Bitcoin, the second wave is the breakout of Ethereum, and the third wave is the frenzy of altcoins. Currently, Bitcoin and Ethereum have completed the first two waves, while the altcoin market is just getting started, meaning that the real bull run may just be beginning.
Looking back at history, Bitcoin reached its peak in November during the 2013 bull run, while Ethereum had not yet been born; in the 2017 bull run, Bitcoin peaked in December, Ethereum and altcoins peaked a month later, with some altcoins even peaking as early as September. In the 2021 bull run, Bitcoin and Ethereum peaked simultaneously in November, but some altcoins had already peaked as early as February, with most ending their rise in the May crash.
The mid-term corrections in the Bull Market also follow a certain pattern. In 2013, BTC plummeted by 80% in a few days, and altcoins were even more miserable; In 2017, BTC experienced multiple corrections, with the largest drop being 40%, while during the '94 crash', altcoins generally fell by 90%, and Ethereum's correction was relatively mild; In 2021, BTC and Ethereum had smaller corrections in September 2020, but altcoins went through months of Depth adjustments, followed by the '519 crash' where BTC was halved, and altcoins were once again severely hit.
Looking forward to the Bull Market of 2025, according to historical patterns, the mid-2024 declines of BTC and Ethereum are not expected to be too deep, but altcoins have already begun a significant pullback. The second wave of sharp rise is expected to arrive in the fourth quarter of 2025, followed by another Depth adjustment for altcoins, with some currencies possibly peaking ahead of time. From a cyclical perspective, the time from the bottom to the top of the first four Bull Markets is similar, and the duration of the fifth Bull Market is intriguing.
Bitcoin's bull run, although full of uncertainties, also contains huge opportunities. Understanding historical patterns and grasping market rhythms are the keys to gaining an advantage in the bull market. Every bull market is a test of investors' wisdom and patience. Are you ready to face the challenge?
