Q1. How are trading fees calculated?
A1. Coin-to-Coin / Margin Fee = Volume × 0.1% × Tier Discount;
P2P Trading: No fees for standard users;
P2P Merchant Fee: Fiat merchants currently enjoy zero-fee trading. Future changes will be announced accordingly;
Futures Trading Fees: https://www.gate.com/help/futures/logical/22079

Q2. How can I increase my withdrawal limit?
A2. Your daily withdrawal limit depends on your VIP level and KYC (Identity Verification) status. If you haven’t completed identity verification, you can increase your limit by completing the verification process.

Q3. Does Gate have official accounts such as Telegram groups or X(Twitter) ?

A3. Yes. Join our official Telegram Group: @GateCom_EN or follow us on X: https://twitter.com/gate_io. For any enquiries, you can also contact our live customer support to submit a ticket, or email us.

Q4. How are withdrawal fees charged? Where can details be checked?
A4. Withdrawal fees are updated dynamically every hour varied by coin and network. You can check the real-time fee in the withdrawal page after selecting your coin and network.

Q5. Why does it say “phone number is already in use” when binding?
A5. Each phone number can only be linked to one account or used as an username. It is recommended to use a different number if the number is not yours; if it is your number, unbind it from the other account before binding it to the current one.

Q6. What do 3S and 3L mean in spot trading?
A6. 3S and 3L are 3x leveraged ETF tokens. These tokens don’t require margins, won’t get liquidated, and automatically rebalanced periodically. Trade with leverage by simply buying and selling tokens.

Q7. If the Auto Renew for Crypto Loan is enabled, will the system still auto-borrow if I repay early before the due date? Will it auto-borrow on the due date?
A7. Yes. If Auto Renew is enabled, the system will proceed with auto-borrowing by default. To avoid this, it is recommended to disable Auto Renew before making early repayments.

Q8. Why is there a reminder saying that “I am unable to withdraw within 24 hours”?
A8. If you purchased crypto via fiat trading, withdrawals will be restricted for 24 hours. Please refer to the transaction rules on the trading page for full details.

Q9 What should I do if I accidentally make a payment to a previous P2P trading counterparty?
A9. You can locate the previous completed order under your Order History and submit an appeal. Our support specialist will get in touch to assist you.

Q10. I made the P2P payment, but the counterparty hasn’t released the crypto. What should I do?
A10. First, make sure you’ve clicked to confirm the payment, then try to contact the opposition. If they don’t reply or aren’t answering calls, submit an appeal and upload proof of payment. Please monitor the appeal status and wait for our support team to process it.

Q11. How are merchant listings sorted in P2P trading?
A11. Merchant orders are ranked based on a price-first, time-priority rule: listings with better prices are shown first, and among those with the same price, the earlier orders will appear higher. When a merchant logs out, their listings will be hidden and will reappear upon the merchant’s return. Final display order depends on the live interface.

Q12. How to deposit funds?
A12. On the Gate website, go to the top right corner and click “Assets” — “Funds Management” — “Deposit” — choose “Onchain Deposit” or “GateCode Deposit”. Then select the coin/network and transfer to the deposit address shown. If you want to deposit via fiat, you can purchase USDT in the P2P market by fiat currency.

Q13. How to withdraw funds?
On the Gate website, go to “Assets” — “Funds Management” — “Withdraw” — choose “Onchain Withdrawal” or “Phone/Email/Gate UID” or “GateCode”. Select the coin/network, enter the required details as prompted, and click “Withdrawal” to complete the process.
Note: Crypto assets can only be withdrawn to a compatible wallet address. Please double-check the address before submitting to avoid asset loss due to errors.

Q14. My deposit hasn’t arrived. What should I do?
A14. First, check the blockchain records to confirm whether the transfer was successful and the deposit details are correct. If everything is confirmed, go to the corresponding Deposit page and click “Self-Accelerate”. After submitting, wait for 5–30 minutes to check if the funds arrive. If not, contact Customer Support and provide the transaction hash (TXID), coin type, amount, and time of deposit for assistance.

Q15. My withdrawal hasn’t arrived. What should I do?
A15. In the withdrawal record, find the TXID and check the blockchain record to confirm if the transaction was successful.

  • If the transaction has been confirmed on-chain but funds haven’t arrived, contact the receiving party.
  • If no blockchain record exists, submit the relevant details to Gate, and our support team will assist you.

Q16. How to use a GateCode?
A16. GateCode is generated when withdrawing funds using the GateCode option. The code consists of two segments separated by ‘-‘ and allows transfers between Gate accounts. To use: Copy the full GateCode and paste it into the Redeem GateCode page , then click Submit to receive the funds instantly.

Note: A GateCode consists of 2 parts connected by a hyphen (‘-‘). The first part can be used to check the denomination of the GateCode or to optionally lock the GateCode. A full GateCode is essential to complete the deposit.

Please make sure that the GateCode you receive from other users are valid.

Q17. Is Futures leverage directly related to profit?
A17. No. Futures profit/loss is determined by position size, and is not directly related to leverage. Leverage affects how much margin is needed to open a position—the higher the leverage, the lower the margin required and the larger the position size—but it also increases the risk of liquidation.

Q18. How is the return rate in futures trading calculated?
A18. Return rate = Unrealized PNL (USD) / Margin × 100%
